YOU AGAIN

RYAN: I was really excited to see this movie because I always enjoyed the TV commercials and the trailer. I love the casting and the premise.

CAROLINE: I think it looks cute too, but I couldn't make it to the screening. Did it deliver?

RYAN: Totally! I just delighted in this film the entire time. It's one of those movies that ended and my face hurt from smiling so much.

CAROLINE: [laughs] I can't say that's happened to me in a movie. On my wedding day, maybe.

RYAN: The casting is brilliant. It's really Kristen Bell's movie but needless to say many a scene is stolen by Sigourney Weaver, Jamie Lee Curtis, Betty White and Kristin Chenoweth.

CAROLINE: You must have been in heaven.

RYAN: Chenoweth gets to really showcase here. She plays the wedding coordinator/dance instructor and is just high-lar!

CAROLINE: That does sound like a fun role for her. How's all the banter between the stars? It's all about high school rivalry, right?

RYAN: Yep. And it's a very well written film. Anyone who was tormented in high school, as was the case for me, can identify, and you root for them to get revenge.

CAROLINE: But I was leery it might be a bit schticky and slapsticky. Was it?

RYAN: A little, but in a fun way that works. There is some of the sensibility of, like, Freaky Friday or The Parent Trap; but it's never too over the top. And there's so much heart to it.

CAROLINE: See that's exactly what I was worried about... that it's like a kids' movie.

RYAN: OMG, not at all. It's about post-college, career women who hold a grudge. It's a very good story and it's fun to see the changes in the women. Kristen Bell gets to do a whole makeover at the beginning which is great.

CAROLINE: How are the elder cast members' faces looking?

RYAN: Betty looks fab.

CAROLINE: [chortles] I meant Sigourney and Jamie.

RYAN: I know. They actually look really great. I wonder why Jamie won't color her hair though. I think she'd look way better blonde or brunette.

CAROLINE: Maybe. I like how she's keeping it real though.

-- BOTTOM LINE --

RYAN: For the light, fluffy movie that it is, it's just a perfect little flick. It's a chick flick for sure and not a romantic comedy, though there are some underlying elements of rom com. Overall, good story, music, casting, etc... Loved it!

Jackboots on Whitehall Movie

Synopsis: A satirical version of World War II in which the Scottish defeat the German invasion of England. Chris dreams of the chance to join the army and fight in exciting new lands rather than be stuck in the slow paced village life he has grown up in. His chance comes when the three top Nazis hatch a plan to invade England by drilling under the English Channel and into the heart of London.source:http://www.walrusfilms.com
